The Women’s Fund of El Paso is committed to helping women access a better life through higher education and leadership development. We believe that each of us has the power to change lives. You can change the life of a woman and her family in our community today by becoming a Friend of the Women’s Fund.

• Make a Gift: Simply choose from the clutch, handbag, satchel, messenger bag, and/or a weekender travel bag. Each bag represents a different giving level and reinforces the underlying belief in the "power of the purse" to make a difference in the lives of women and their families.
  

• Support a Giving Circle to raise money for a particular need of women in our community.  A growing trend in philanthropy, Giving Circles consist of a group of individuals who pool their funds and other resources to support a specific need in the community.   You can turn small gifts into big impacts by contributing to an existing Giving Circle on the Women’s Fund website or creating your own.

• Make plans to attend the Power of the Purse Auction for Women in April 2012.  The Power of the Purse features silent and live auctions of handbags at all prices and styles.  Proceeds from the event will be used to support the Women’s Fund and provide scholarships to low and moderate-income single mothers and other women for educational advancement and leadership development.

The Women’s Fund website provides resources for women, calendar of activities and events, arts and culture, advocacy issues, and opportunities for networking and exchange.  The benefits of involvement include the opportunity to:

• POTENTIAL eligibility for grants toward educational and leadership advancement

The Women’s Fund of El Paso provides scholarships for low and moderate-income single mothers and other women seeking educational advancement and leadership development.  Women who receive grants become part of the Women’s Fund Network, connecting women to a world of resources available to help improve their quality of life.  The Women’s Fund’s Scholarship Committee reviews grant applications on an ongoing basis.
